Highly-Skilled Restorative Procedures

We are well-versed in a variety of restorative procedures. Dr. Williams uses intraoral scanning to ensure precision and provide optimal results for all crowns, bridges, and dentures. Our 3D printer does, in some cases, allow for same day dentures or partial deliveries. We are able to provide everything from full zirconia, Emax, or feldspathic material crowns to onlays, inlays, and other tooth-preserving restorations. Our services include, but are not limited to:

• Same-day dentures
• Full and partial dentures
• Dental implants
• Dental bridges
• Full zirconia, Emax, and feldspathic crowns
• Inlays and onlays
• Dental veneers
• Other tooth-preserving restorations

Intraoral Scanning
Dr. Williams uses intraoral scanning to ensure the utmost level of accuracy and precision. We utilize this approach for all patients receiving crowns, bridges, and dentures. This advanced technology allows us to complete full-mouth 3D scans in just a few minutes time and quickly determine the exact location and extent of tooth fractures, calculus, and other areas of concern.

Dental Crowns
Dental crowns are commonly used to restore teeth that are broken, cracked, or damaged. They are also used to strengthen teeth that have undergone root canal therapy. Their primary role is to address severely worn teeth by restoring length, function, and aesthetics. These full coverage restorations not only look beautiful and natural, but also offer impeccable strength. Our patients can choose from a variety of material options depending on their preferences and needs including pressed porcelain, full zirconia, Emax, or feldspathic crowns.

Dental Bridges
If you have one or more missing teeth, Dr. Williams may recommend dental bridges as part of your treatment plan. Dental bridges are a natural-looking option used to replace missing teeth and can help restore the functionality and beauty of your smile. They consist of a pontic, or false tooth, which is held in place by two crowns that are attached to the surrounding teeth.

By filling in the gaps in your smile, dental bridges keep the rest of your teeth from shifting out of place, which can cause jaw problems and muscle spasms. Additionally, they can also make it easier and more comfortable for you to speak, swallow, and chew. We offer a variety of options for bridges depending on the location of your teeth and your personal preferences.

Precision Dentures

Dentures are natural-looking, prosthetic devices that can be used to replace several missing teeth and restore the beauty of your smile. Dentures have come a long way over the years and are now more comfortable and versatile than ever before. Often, they are able to be placed immediately, the same day the teeth are extracted or, if needed, after healing has taken place.

At Unique Smiles Dentistry, we offer a variety of options for McHenry patients interested in dentures. Dr. Williams will conduct a thorough assessment of your teeth and gums to help you determine which option is best for you. Some of the factors we consider when evaluating a patient for dentures include the amount of bone present at the ridge where the denture will rest, the shape of the palate in the upper arch, and the relationship of the upper arch to the lower arch.

Depending on the results of your examination, Dr. Williams may recommend complete/full dentures, partial dentures, or overdentures. Partial dentures tend to be more stable and economical. They are an excellent option when a patient has some natural teeth that are still in good health. Overdentures are similar to full dentures in the way that they are used to replace all of the patient’s teeth. The difference is that they fit over existing teeth or implants and are held in place with special attachments. They are still removable, but more secure. In some cases, however, the best option for a patient may be full or complete dentures.
